A textbook rental fee is charged to each student. Fees cover textbooks and workbooks. 2. Each student is responsible for paying all fees. Online Student Fees/Bill Pay System We are pleased to announce that Thornton Fractional Township District 215 will offer parents the opportunity to pay student fees online. Parents can now access the online bill pay system by visiting Parent Connect at http://pcxp.tfd215.org and clicking on "Student Info" and then on "Fees and Dues". The online account has up-to-date details of all charges and payments. Visa and MasterCard payments can be made 24 hours a day and are processed through a secure payment engine which abides by rigorous policies and procedures to safeguard all personal information, such as banking information and personal data. This ensures that parents can be confident that their payments are safe, private, and secure. http://pcxp.tfd215.org 3. The textbook rental fee, mathematics calculator cost, and drivers education fees, excluding the Secretary of State permit fees, will be waived for students who qualify for the free/reduced lunch program. Such students are entittled to only one free calculator during their time in District 215 unless they enroll in a course that requires a different calculator. These students must return their graphing calculators upon their completion of their last high school mathematics course or prior to their graduation in their senior year, whichever comes first. 4. Students must pay replacement costs for books if they lose their books, severelydamage books, or deface or remove their bar code labels. Replacement books arenot issued until students pay for lost titles. 5. With the exception of calculators, students must return all textbooks to thebookstore prior to the end of the semester the course ends. When students returnto school in the fall semester, they must have all charges cleared against their bills.If they have not returned their books, they will be charged the replacement costs and be referred to the collection system. 6. Students that obtain schedule changes during a term must return any books checked out to them in the dropped course before obtaining books for the added course. Collection System for Non-Payment of Monies Owed District 215 *Debts not completely paid by November 15th or within ninety days are referred to the collection system. Students may graduate but will not be eligible to participate in graduation ceremonies if they have unpaid debts. Student Insurance The school is not held responsible for accidents to students during the schoolyear. In order to relieve parents of financial burden, student insurance isavailable to all students through the bookstore. Athletes particularly are urged to take advantage of this program. In the event of an accident, claim forms can be secured at the bookstore. |
