Dear Parents and Guardians:
If you are a new student, welcome to T.F. North. You are entering a special place rich with a tradition of success. Much is expected of you, so get prepared to work hard, be caring and respectful, and take responsibility for your actions. For those of you who are returning to North this year, we are equally glad to have you back and we have high expectations of each of you as well. We expect seniors to provide leadership and model behavior appropriate of a North student, we expect juniors to do the same, as well as prepare themselves for the challenges of their final year. Lastly, we expect sophomores to reflect back to your freshmen year and improve on your shortcomings, maximize your successes, and look to the future.
Parents we have expectations of you as well. Your involvement is essential to our success. Studies have shown that the more parents are involved in their child's education, the better that a child will do in school. As parents, we need you to talk to your student about their schoolwork on a daily basis. Also, encourage your student to be involved in school sponsored clubs, activities, and sports.
Those of you who are returning should remember these words; they are the same ones I share every year. I do not change them because they are the essence of our success. Parent involvement remains one of your primary goals. I as well as many other members of our community have children and understand the challenges parents face daily with raising students of the 21st century. With that in mind, we still need your help. Remember the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We are all in this together!
Sincerely,
Dwayne E. Evans, Principal
